How Long UK Trademark Registration Takes
Written by Just Trademark It. Not legal advice. We are not the UK IPO and not registered trade mark attorneys.
There are two stretches of time. First, Just Trademark It reviews the application. Nothing is filed with the UK IPO during that review, and we do not promise a fixed number of days for it. Second, the UK IPO's own process starts only once the application has actually been filed.
After the UK IPO has the application
The UK IPO says that if there are no objections and nobody opposes, registration often takes around 3 to 4 months from filing. Their published timeline is roughly: examination soon after filing, publication in the Trade Marks Journal, an opposition period of 2 months, and registration about 2 weeks after that period if nobody has opposed. Someone who is considering an opposition can extend that period to 3 months.
Objections, missing information, or an opposition make it longer. Nobody can guarantee registration. A trademark search beforehand can show marks that may warrant a closer look. It cannot promise the IPO will accept the application.
The official outline is on GOV.UK: trade marks timeline.

You will see the service fee and the official UK IPO fee before you pay. Nothing is filed until a person has reviewed it.
